Day 58: Looking Back, Trusting Forward
As we close the book of Deuteronomy, we witness Moses’ final moments—his last words, his final blessing over Israel, and ultimately, his death. These chapters are sobering and beautiful all at once. Moses, who led God's people out of Egypt, walked with them through the wilderness, and faithfully delivered God’s Word, finishes his journey on Mount Nebo, seeing the Promised Land from a distance.
Chapter 32 is a song—a poetic recounting of God’s faithfulness, Israel’s history, and a reminder of God's justice and mercy. Chapter 33 records Moses’ final blessings over each tribe, affirming God’s plans and purpose for His people. Then in chapter 34, Moses dies—his strength undiminished, his legacy unmatched.
For us as moms, this is a moment to reflect. Life is a journey, filled with highs and lows, obedience and learning curves. Like Moses, we are leading others—our children, our families—through seasons and stories. And one day, our legacy will speak too.
God’s faithfulness carried Moses from a burning bush to a mountain of glory. That same God is walking with you through your motherhood journey. You may not see all the fruit yet, but your obedience, your “yes” to God each day, is not in vain.
Reflection Questions:
✨ What part of Moses' legacy speaks most to your heart today?
✨ How can you bless those you lead, just as Moses blessed Israel?
✨ Are you trusting God's faithfulness, even when you don’t see the full picture yet?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the faithful example of Moses—a servant who walked closely with You. Help me to live and lead in a way that honors You. Remind me that the journey matters, that obedience leaves a legacy, and that You are always with me, even in the unseen. I choose to trust You with today and every day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💛 Mama, your faithfulness matters. Finish each day with purpose, knowing God sees, God honors, and God is working through your life.
